Ware County High School’s cheerleader, Olivia Ray, died on December 13, 2025, after suffering serious injuries from a car accident. The whole news has completely shattered the family and friends, as well as the entire community.
Currently, there are no explicit public details on how the accident occurred. Everything seems sudden and chaotic, with people still trying to piece together what went wrong.
Olivia Ray is survived by her boyfriend, Peyton Turner; her parents, Scott Ray and Jeri Ray; her twin brother, Jackson; and many more relatives who loved her dearly.
Father Scott Ray posted an extended, gut-wrenching message for anyone who would listen. He wrote about how he had kept vigil, waiting for her as she would still come home. He explained that the rush to the scene of the accident will be something his heart will keep forever. Honestly, it hurts a lot reading those words. Losing a close friend all of a sudden, I know that emptiness he talks about; checking the phone again and again, whether it was just a mistake.
He wrote that he wished he could have called her and heard her voice again for just one time, and that he could have embraced and held her once again. He will always say she is his angel and sunshine.
Her mother, Jeri Ray, also used her profile picture update to share her sadness, accompanied by a short message that said she loved her sweet baby girl. There are times when no high-sounding words are necessary. It is pain.

She has been a cheerleader for the Ware County High School since the sixth grade. Throughout her high school years, she continued cheerleading and loved every bit of it. Olivia enjoyed standing on the sidelines, vibing with the energy of the games, and being part of a big family in a team.
For the past two years, Olivia had also served as the Gator mascot. She ran around under the costume, hyping the crowd and spreading school spirit everywhere. To this day, many can still remember how excitable she looked while doing that.
Olivia was always about something worthy outside of cheerleading. She was a member of both the First Southern Junior Board of Directors and the Hospice Junior Board of Directors. She was also swimming for the WCHS swim team as well as in Beta Club, FCA, and DECA.
Additionally, she was very active in her church youth group and babysat kids in her spare time, took care of dogs, threw balloon arches for parties, and dressed up as characters for children’s parties. That says a lot about whom she always helped, always smiling.
After graduation, she planned to attend South Georgia State College and wanted a career in early childhood education and working with young children. Those dreams, unfortunately, ended far too quickly.

Her close friend, Morgan Miller, described how unreal everything feels. He said they sat next to each other in class last Friday, just like any other day. Then, the next day, she got that call saying Olivia had passed away. Such a shock stays forever.
Morgan stated that Olivia is one of the sweetest people one could ever meet and owns one of the brightest souls around. Many others echoed similar sentiments online, leaving more messages of hope and memories. It did indeed go very deep into showing just how much love surrounded this girl.
Currently, there are no details shared by the family regarding funeral or memorial services for Olivia Ray.
Everyone’s prayers go to this son of man, Olivia Ray’s boyfriend, parents, twin sibling, the extended family, and all her friends during such trying times.
