Well, RockStar might be planning a sneaky ending for GTA 6. There’s this tiny thing most people would have missed in the second trailer, but it’s the talk of the house right now. Jason’s digital wristwatch displayed the time of 11:08 when showing a scene in an armed robbery of a store. Some fans believe that it is not a random time readout; it might lead to November eighth, which could be the next date Rockstar will decide to drop a new GTA 6 trailer.
It sounds quite absurd, but in fact, it rings a bell. The earliest GTA 6 reveal last year was only a few days before the earnings call. This is what they have done previously. That’s kind of how Rockstar relates marketing to business stuff: first, work on hype, then show numbers after. Since Take-Two has also announced another investor call on November 6, I think the timing fits perfectly again.
This is the period wherein I have been following the Rockstar news, with an indication that, in the past, leaks had been done regarding GTA V.

In fact, this would not be the first time such a thing happened in their updates. When GTA Online got the updates called ‘San Andreas Mercenaries’, there was a shirt with some strange coded numbers on it. Some time later, people decoded it and literally meant “One day will reveal all,” which coincidentally matched the date of the first GTA 6 trailer. We’re pretty crazy.
Somehow, Jason’s “11:08” watch feels a bit too much of a coincidence. It’s just too specific to be random. People on Reddit are divided, though. Some say it’s just random time, others swear it was made that way. Both arguments have good merits in their favor, but then you know Rockstar – they do love teasing us with little things like this.
A few people also think that if there were a real trailer in store for people, it would probably have dropped before the financial meeting rather than after. If that were the case, hyped-up Take-Two stock value would grab Rockstar’s smart marketing move. That actually is clever marketing on its part if you think about it.
That is how Rockstar worked for years, throwing in the same factor as Red Dead Redemption 2. They kept everyone at bay for weeks before showing anything officially. It perfectly dragged up the excitement. Rockstar’s timing has always been impeccable.
Because it also fits with what they were doing in 2023, “11:08” again goes with the times. Halloween that year was weird on the Rockstar website, with photographs of cars under neon lights and signs reading “VI” as in Roman numbers. Hints of Vice City were everywhere. People guessed that that was where GTA 6 would occur, and they were right. So maybe this new watch clue is simply another soft tease before something bigger.
Like watchspace, the digital watch could be a cleverly silent message. It, of course, coincides with Rockstar becoming completely quiet these days. Their social media has slowed down, and they aren’t giving interviews, even tighter media access. It seems that they’re building hype on purpose.
That’s what sets Rockstar apart. They know how to get the talking without saying a word. Every little silence or detail that happens adds to the hype. Honestly, that’s what makes following GTA news so much fun. You don’t quite know what’s real until Rockstar finally opens his mouth.
Fans are currently agog with each little thing now that November is closing in. If “11:08” becomes nothing, Rockstar wins. Everyone’s speculating, theorizing, and waiting for what new twist will be. GTA 6 will drop in probably the most dramatic way ever, and it will surely take the internet over again when it does.
